HOW CAN I GET AN INVITATION LETTER FOR MY VISA APPLICATION?
You may request an invitation letter if one is required for your Visa application. Before an invitation letter can be issued, you must be registered for the Championships and have your registration accepted by your Member country (i.e., listed as ”accepted” on the registration lists). Once both of these requirements are met, you can request an invitation letter by sending an email to contact@2024wmac.com. Be sure to include the following information in your request:
- Name of the athlete, accompanying person or team manager
- Passport number or national ID number
- Country
- Email address
WHAT SHOULD I ENTER IN THE FIELDS FOR PREVIOUS RESULTS WHEN REGISTERING?
Athletes who don't have a time or mark can put "NT" (for "no time") or "NM" (for "no mark"). There's a clickable button marked with "?" next to the time/mark input fields which will show examples of the formats for times/marks, including what to put for no time and no mark.
Competition
IN WHICH VENUE WILL MY EVENT TAKE PLACE?
The final timetable, containing information about starting times and competition venues, will be finalized and published after the registration deadline on Tuesday 4 June. Several factors come into play and the number of participants registering for each event is crucial in determining how the competition schedule can be optimized and aligned with the capacity of the venues. Simply put, we aim to construct the best and most efficient program possible for the athletes and to do so, we need to await registration numbers and other pertinent information. We fully understand that this is critical information for everyone, thank you for your patience.
WILL THE ORGANIZER PROVIDE A POLE RENTAL SERVICE?
Certainly! Pole rental services will be available. In partnership with Nordic Sport, we'll provide a selection of top-quality equipment. The rental fee will be 80 euros and you will need to book your poles in advance. Click on the link below for further details.
WILL ONLINE CONFIRMATION BE POSSIBLE?
Yes, you will be able to confirm online. If you prefer to confirm manually, you can do so in the Technical Information Center at the main stadium.

Entry for team events will be done during the championships by the team managers.
WILL THE ORGANIZER PROVICE EQUIPMENT FOR ALL TECHNICAL DISCIPLINES?
Yes, the organizer will provide a basic range of equipment for all technical disciplines at every competition venue. This ensures that participants have access to the necessary tools and gear to compete effectively.

WHAT ARE THE BEST ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS?
Gothenburg offers an impressive selection of high-quality hotels across various price ranges. We have partnered with Strawberry Hotels, featuring 13 official championship hotels located throughout the city. We highly recommend exploring their offerings by clicking the link below. All athlete services, including transportation between competition venues and the Technical Information Center, will be found at our main stadium, Slottsskogsvallen. It is advisable to plan your trip with easy access to this central location and to leave the rest to us!

The Experience
ARE THE STADIUMS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND DO YOU NEED TO BUY A TICKET?
No, there is no entrance fee to access the stadiums during the competitions. All events are open to the public, and spectators are welcome free of charge.
